Introduction

During the COVID-19 pandemic, the use of video chat between students and teachers has become a new normal. Students will write an explanatory essay describing how to utilize video chat to conference with their teachers.

This writing prompt can either be used at the end of a unit about life in the past or as a stand-alone writing prompt. Show a brief video clip or read a book or story about life long ago (for example: Little House on the Prairie book or video clip from the television series would work nicely).
