Introduction

Animals protect and care for their young in many unique and special ways. In this lesson, students will observe how bald eagles take care of their offsprings. They will identify several ways the national bird cares for their chicks and draw a picture representing one of those ways.

Learning Objectives

1-LS1-2. Read texts and use media to determine patterns in behavior of parents and offspring that help offspring survive.
